New Singer-Songwriter Bazzi Seriously Shades Taylor Swift in New Interview
It feels like singer-songwriter Bazzi came out of nowhere and has been blowing up our feeds. Ever since his song “Mine” hit the Billboard Hot 100, he has been quite the hot commodity but now instead of talking about his music, they’re talking about his recent comments about Taylor Swift.
In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, the 20-year-old was talking about his new album Cosmic and how he doesn’t identify as a pop singer when he brought the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer into the conversation. Bazzi mentioned how although she is selling out stadiums, he believes that “people don’t listen to her album.”
He later went on to say that he was “not trying to throw shade” and that he “respects” Taylor and that she’s “the businesswoman of all businesswomen” but her fans are not believing it. It didn’t take long for people to start callig out the musician for his comments, especially since he is a relatively new artist.
If Bazzi is going to say that “no one listens to pop albums”, he should at least know better than to use Taylor as an example of that. She outsells everyone. At least use a pop star that isn’t selling as well as she is.

Bazzi, dude, you are the opening act of Camila Cabello, a pop singer. And she is the opening act of Taylor Swift, a pop singer too.

The main reason why people are so upset with Bazzi is because just a few months ago he was the #1 song on Taylor’s Spotify playlist, something that he even celebrated!

So I heard @bazzi said some not nice things about Taylor Swift. I'm a small musician and no one knows I exist but DUDE musician to musician, you may have label backing and radio airplay but a TON of people are finding you through Taylor's Spotify playlist and show playlist.

All we know is that this will definitely bring some attention to the new singer and you know the saying, bad publicity is better than no publicity!
