Victorious might have had its series finale earlier this month, but Avan Jogia already knows what he’ll be doing next. Deadline is reporting that ABC Family has ordered Avan’s pilot Twisted — formerly known as Socio — to series.

In Twisted, Avan will play a 16-year-old named Danny with a mysterious past that involved murdering his aunt at only 11-years-old. He finally returns home after being released from custody and tries to reconnect with his childhood best friends. However, another murder happens and he is the prime suspect. Danny will do whatever it takes to clear his name, and of course, there is plenty of mystery along the way.

Another drama pilot, titled The Fosters, was also ordered to series by ABC Family. Produced by Jennifer Lopez, it will star Wizards of Waverly Place‘s Jake T. Austin, and is about “about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms.”

The network, which airs the hit show Pretty Little Liars, is confident that viewers will take to both of these shows as well. ABC Family president Michael Riley said in a statement, “These new shows will bring the same depth, heart, close relationships and authenticity that our viewers have come to expect and will pair nicely with our already established pop culture hits.”

Avan also tweeted his excitement about the news, saying:

Twisted and The Fosters are expected to premiere some time this summer. Will you tune in? Sound off in the comments.
