Bella Thorne’s Assassination Nation Trailer is Super Intense and Graphic

By  |

Bella Thorne is never afraid to push the limits and shock audiences, so her new movie, Assassination Nation, should come as no surprise. Bella is playing the role of Reagan, a young girl who is dealing with a terrible social media hacker.

The film, which just released a teaser trailer, looks IN-tense, to say the least. The first footage contains a ton of trigger warnings that are spread across the screen as various graphic scenes are shown. The trigger warnings include: bullying, blood, abuse, classism, death, drinking, drug use, sexual content, toxic masculinity, homophobia, transphobia, guns, nationalism, racism, kidnapping, the male gaze, giant frogs, sexism, swearing, torture, violence, gore, weapons and fragile male egos.

According to Deadline, “High school senior Lily and her group of friends live in a haze of texts, posts, selfies and chats just like the rest of the world. So, when an anonymous hacker starts posting details from the private lives of everyone in their small town, the result is absolute madness leaving Lily and her friends questioning whether they’ll live through the night.”

The film also stars Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, Anika Noni Rose and Bill Skarsgård. Assassination Nation is in theaters on September 21. Until then, take a look at the trailer above!
