Ariana Grande Taking Social Media Break After Pete Davidson Breakup
Ariana Grande powered through her anxiety to perform “The Wizard and I” at the taping of NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween in honor of Wicked 15th anniversary, but she’s done with being in the public eye for now, at least. The 25-year-old crooner announced that she’s taking a break from social media because the news is “very sad” right now.
“Ok today was v special and i’m so grateful i was able to be there,” she said in a since-deleted Instagram Story about her experience filming the concert special.
She continued, “Time to say bye bye again to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always.”
This is the first time Ari has somewhat spoken out about her breakup with comedian Pete Davidson. The celebs called off their engagement over the weekend because the “God Is a Woman” crooner reportedly became overwhelmed and felt they rushed into planning a wedding.
Sources say Mac Miller‘s sudden death was a huge factor in what drove AG and PD apart, as she was an emotional wreck and realized she couldn’t focus on a relationship at the moment.
But while Ari and Pete are no longer heading down the aisle, they ARE still spending time together and could definitely get back together in the future.
The SNL star deleted his Instagram once again in the wake of the split, so it’s clear he and Ariana both need to take some time to heal right now.
