Ariana Grande Calls Relationship with Ex-Boyfriend Mac Miller “Toxic”
Ariana Grande and Mac Miller‘s breakup came as a total shock to the public, but new details revealed by the 24-year-old herself seemingly prove that it was a long time coming. Ari replied to a Twitter user who criticized her for moving on so quickly after the split and called what she and the rapper had a “toxic relationship.”
A person named Elijah Flint tweeted, “Mac Miller totalling his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood.”
While he didn’t tag either of the celebs, the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer saw the note and fired back.
“How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them…” she began.

She then went on to address the 26-year-old’s struggle with substance abuse, which seemingly caused the breakup.
“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be,” she wrote. “I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming / blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his sh*t together is a very major problem.”
Ari admitted that going through these things while dating Mac was “hard” and “scary,” but she never made that public knowledge during the relationship.
Her last words back up her previous message about the rapper always remaining one of her best friends.
“I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.”
