Ariana Grande is the Ultimate Badass Queen in “God is a Woman” Video

We’re feeling overwhelmed! Just hours after Ariana Grande dropped her latest single from Sweetener, “God is a Woman,” she’s giving us even MORE to feast on by releasing the song’s official music video, too.

The song is all about female empowerment and embracing your sexuality, and the vid showcases the 24-year-old’s badass nature. It starts off with the crooner literally standing at the center of the universe and continues to show her standing way taller than multiple men trying to bring her down. One of our favorite scenes comes when she’s sitting among a group of guys who look like they’re straight out of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids as they’re throwing words like ‘annoying’ ‘fake’ and ‘stupid’ at her. She just sits there, much bigger than them, unaffected.

Later on, Madonnaspeaks a quote from Pulp Fiction, which is an altered version of Ezekiel 25:17.

“And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my sisters,” AG mouths as she waves around a sledgehammer. “And you will know my name is the lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”

There is also a recreation of Michelangelo’s iconic piece, The Last Judgement, which adorns the the walls of the Sistine Chapel. Ariana wore a dress with this artwork on it to the 2018 Met Gala, obviously previewing what was to come.

God is a woman and her name is Ariana freakin’ Grande!!
