This Ariana Grande Instagram Will Leave You Thinking, “Is This the Same Woman?”
Ariana Grande sure has come a long way from her 20th birthday. Two years after she blew out the candles for her celebration of two decades on Earth (or, well, a month before it), wishing for “boobs and an ass,” she’s now one of the go-to females on body appreciation. At the time, she followed up her desire for a new frame, saying, “I decided to take it back and be happy with what God gave me. I’m proud of my little tush!! Big, small, curvy, flat, tall petite… Love the skin you’re in!!!! It’s beautiful because it’s yours.” Now, she’s taking things even further.
Recently, an Instagram user mentioned a preference for 17-year-old Modern Family star Ariel Winter‘s shape as opposed to 22-year-old Ariana’s frame. The commenter said, “Curves are sexy sticks aren’t.” Needless to say, the “Focus” singer was not impressed. She captioned her own Instagram photo, “here we go again…. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way today!! in case you need a reminder, you’re beautiful. it’s a beautiful day to be yourself !!”
These words were attached to a much longer thread, “Sigh… tweets, comments, statement like this are not okay. About anyone!!! We live in a day and age where people make it IMPOSSIBLE for women, men, anyone to embrace themselves exactly how they are. Diversity is sexy! Loving yourself is sexy!”
She continued, “You know what is NOT sexy? Misogyny, objectifying, labeling, comparing and body shaming!!! Talking about people’s body’s as if they’re on display ASKING for your approval / opinion. THEY ARE NOT!!!! CELEBRATE YOURSELF. CELEBRATE OTHERS. The things that make us different from one another make us BEAUTIFUL. BODY BOUNDARIES. LOVE LOVE LOVE ONLY.”
Yasss, Ari. YASSS. Seriously, is this really the same girl who asked for bigger breasts and a larger posterior back in 2013? ’cause she’s grown into such a confident woman and role model for her dedicated followers.
Since Ariana posted these words, fans have been singing her praises (even more than usual), and they weren’t the only ones. Ariel, herself, who fell victim to headlines about her body as well, responded to AG’s post:

Now if only people like the aforementioned Instagram user and Wendy Williams could stop with the hurtful comments to begin with, then the world would be a much better place.
