Ariana Grande Gets Bee Tattoo in Honor of Manchester One Year After Attack

By  |

It was previously reported that Ariana Grande joined hundreds of citizens of Manchester in getting a bee tattoo shortly after the terrorist attack that happened at her May 2017 concert. But unless she got another insect tattooed on her body recently, it looks like this story was not true at the time.

The 24-year-old just posted a picture debuting a tiny black bee behind her ear and tagged NYC tattoo artist Mira Mariah.

“Forever,” she captioned the image, adding a cloud emoji.

If you didn’t know, the worker bee is known as the city’s unofficial mascot and is a “symbol of the city’s hard-working past during the Industrial Revolution.”

Ari’s apparent new ink comes just days after the 1-year anniversary of the bombing that killed 22 people and injured hundreds more. The “No Tears Left to Cry” singer is still incredibly impacted by what happened in 2017 and paid tribute to the lives lost.

“Thinking of you all today and every day,” she tweeted on the anniversary. “I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day.”
