Oh No! One of Your Teen Wolf Favorites Announces Shocking Exit from Show!
It’s the most surprising Teen Wolf news since Tyler Hoechlin‘s exit last year — series regular Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura) just announced her own departure from the MTV series!
— Arden Cho (@arden_cho) April 11, 2016
In a somewhat choked-up video, Arden says, “I love Kira Yukimura so much. I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew. It’s been an amazing almost 3-and-a-half years. It’s gone by so fast.” Here it comes, guys: “But, unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira’s storyline and she won’t be coming back for Season 6.”
The 30-year-old actress adds, “I think sometimes in a show where there’s so many characters, there isn’t always room for everyone. I do wish we would’ve developed a little bit more of her powers and the Skinwalkers.”
Is this the official end, though? Even Arden’s not so sure. “You never know with Teen Wolf,” she explains. “People might come back.”
While Kira’s ending wasn’t as dismal and finite as Allison’s, fans are still outraged, even calling the move racist on creator Jeff Davis‘ part:
– jeff davis is racist & treats poc poorly
– arden cho deserves better
– he wouldn't have done this to another character like lydia

add arden cho to the list of poc actors who deserve better than to be done dirty by white producers #WeLoveYouArden

Maybe there is hope for Arden’s kick-butt character? After all, these stars returned to their television series after their exit:
When it was announced that Crystal would be leaving Teen Wolf, fans were beyond shocked. As the show's leading lady, it was heartbreaking to see her character killed off on the Season 3 finale. IRL, it was Crystal's choice to leave the show, because she wanted to pursue more mature roles. "I felt like, creatively, there were things I wanted to do differently, and I wanted to explore other avenues of film and TV," she said during an interview. "I wanted to jump into different characters. You know, I'm 29. So I think the age difference was something I wanted to change as well because she's 17."
Despite her desire to take on other roles, Crystal has only landed one role since leaving TW. Maybe this is why she gave in and returned to the show during a recent episode. Although she didn't reprise her OG part as Allison Argent, we're sure fans were more than happy to see her on the show again (French accent excluded), playing one of her ancestors.
