11 Annoying Main Characters from Your Favorite YA Books
There’s nothing better than cuddling up with a good book and a warm blanket. It’s easy to have hours suddenly go by while you’re transferred to a land far away with you’re favorite characters. You know you’re really into a book when you have a physical reaction to it, whether it’s crying when someone dies or screaming in anger, books can have a big impact.
Although we’re excited about all the upcoming book-to-movie adaptations that are happening next year, we’ll never get bored of flipping through the pages of our favorite reads. It’s hard to find a YA novel that we don’t like, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t had to look past an annoying character or two. Sometimes they’re important to the story, and sometimes they are just unnecessary. We rounded up 11 of the most annoying characters in our favorite YA books:
Harry Potter, Harry Potter
Before you get angry at seeing Harry on this list, listen to what we have to say. There's no doubt that Harry's life was extremely difficult compared to everyone else's. He grew up with an awful family, found out he was a wizard and had to fight off Lord Voldemort every single year he was in school. Thankfully, Harry had the best support system in his friends and professors, and he definitely took them for granted. He was stubborn and refused help, even when he needed it most and teenage angst hit him hard. He believed that no one could understand what he was going through and pushed people away. He may be The Chosen One, but that doesn't mean he gets to act this way.
