The rumors are true! Amy Schumer confirms speculation that she and boyfriend Chris Fischer got married in a secret wedding ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The 36-year-old comedian and 37-year-old chef tied the knot in Malibu, California, in front of family and friends including Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Larry David and more.
The I Feel Pretty star posted pictures from her big day on Instagram, including one with BFF J.Law kissing her cheek. She simply wrote “yup” to go along with the photos.
“It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday. It was like, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time.”
Sounds about right for the laid-back funny-woman!
The news of Amy and Chris’ wedding comes as quite the shock, as she just confirmed their relationship a few days ago. The pair attended Ellen DeGeneres’ birthday party and the blonde posted a picture of them kissing with the caption, “Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us!”
The newlyweds were first spotted together in public back in November 2017, but her rep refused to comment on the status of their relationship at that time. Amy was previously with Ben Hanisch for more than a year before the broke up in May 2017.
“Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends,” her rep said at the time.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
