amandla-stenberg-nbc-pilot-main-alh-022613.jpgWe won’t get to see Amandla Stenberg in any more Hunger Games films, but the adorable actress has just landed a role in an upcoming pilot! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amandla was just cast in an upcoming comedy pilot over at NBC. The pilot itself is currently untitled, but will star Craig Robinson, who has starred on NBC’s hit sitcom The Office.

So, what’s the pilot all about? The comedy will focus on a talented musician (played by Craig) who begins teaching at a middle school, and must deal with all the hijinks that go along with it. Amandla will star as Irene “a spunky, fearless and smart eighth grader who is desperate to learn to sing despite her terribly off-key voice and Craig’s reluctance to teach her.”

The producers of the project have worked on hit comedies such as The Office, Raising Hope, as well as Parks and Recreation, so you know it’s going to be hilarious! Also, Amandla isn’t the only young star who will be in an NBC comedy pilot. Former Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove is set to star in a pilot called Girlfriend in a Coma.

What do you think of this casting news? Are you excited to (potentially) see Amandla on the small screen? Sound off in the comments!
