Alissa Violet’s Relationship with Jake Paul was Actually Emotionally Abusive
It’s been months since Jake Paul kicked Alissa Violet out of his house for allegedly cheating, but just days since he reignited their feud with the diss track, “Its Everyday Bro.” The 20-year-old (obviously) decided that now would be a good time to sit down in front of her camera and tell HER side of the story — talk about ~interesting~ timing!
The blonde explained that she first met Jake back in 2014 when he was having a meetup in Ohio and he put his number in her phone. The pair started talking shortly after and quickly got close. He eventually asked her to come to Los Angeles for two weeks so he could introduce her to his friends, modeling agents, etc. Fast forward to the end of 2015 and AV was living in L.A. full time and needed a place to live — that’s when the former Vine star asked her to move into his house.
While Alissa and Jake were never “officially” dating, they were sleeping in the same bed, hooking up, etc. — basically, doing all the things that couples do without making things official.
“He told me he loved me one night and then a couple days later he flew out this girl from Ohio…and was smashing her for like a week,” the model said in her recent YouTube video. “Are you serious? How could you do that to someone?”
Jake continued to hook up with girls pretty much in front of Alissa’s face for months and it eventually got so bad that the YouTuber “wouldn’t even want to go back to the house sometimes at night because [she] just knew there was a girl waiting, there was a girl there with Jake.”
Alissa continued, “He knew exactly what he was doing to me. He would play all these mind games. He would literally tell me he loved me one day, then tell me he hates my f*cking guts the next day. […] I was literally insane. I couldn’t even think straight. I would go upstairs to my bathroom or bedroom and just cry myself to sleep night after night.”
She thought she was in love with him at the time, but now she’s not so sure.
“Now, looking back at this whole situation, I really don’t know if I loved him. I don’t know how I could love a person that treats someone like that. I don’t know if I was in love with him, or the idea of him, or who I thought he was. I think I was just addicted to the pain of wanting someone so unattainable. I just loved getting hurt by him — that’s how much I cared about him.”
While the YT star never called the relationship emotionally abusive, the way she described it pretty much does all the talking. She says she’s still not over the boy who broke her heart, but she knows she’s better off away from him for good.
