YouTube Star Thrown Off Airplane for a Disgustingly Racist Reason

We are FUMING right now. YouTube star Adam Saleh‘s morning started like most people’s travel days. The 23-year-old boarded a Delta flight headed to New York, called his mom to tell her he’d see her in a couple of hours and chatted with his friend. Suddenly, he was being escorted off the plane. The reason why? Fellow passengers felt “uncomfortable” because he was speaking Arabic.

“We got kicked out of a @Delta airplane because I spoke Arabic to my mom on the phone and with my friend slim… WTFFFFFFFF please spread,” the YouTuber tweeted along with a video showing flight attendants trying to get him off the plane as he protested and told them that he did nothing wrong and he was being punished for people’s racism.

Once Adam and Slim were back in the terminal, they were left with no information on what to do or how to get back to NYC. The social media king documented the journey to eventually getting on a new flight:

The Metropolitan Police commented on the incident saying, “Police were called at approximately 11:00hrs on Wednesday, 21 December after two passengers were removed from a plane by crew at Heathrow Airport. Officers attended and the passengers were escorted to the terminal where they were assisted with making alternative travel arrangements. They were not arrested and no offences were disclosed.”

Social media users started the hashtag #BoycottDelta in response to the horrible situation, prompting the airline to also speak out.

“Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort. We’re conducting a full review to understand what transpired. We are taking allegations of discrimination very seriously; our culture requires treating others with respect,” they posted on Twitter.
