6 Ladies You Didn’t Know Were Almost Cast in the Fifty Shades of Grey Sequel
When it was announced that E.L. James’ best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey would be made into a movie, people immediately began stressing over who would play the lead roles. After months of searching for the perfect Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were the lucky two who landed the parts, and all fans of the sexy series could breathe a sigh of relief. Well, at least for a short period of time…
The sequel to the film, Fifty Shades Darker, is set to be released in February 2017, and like the first movie, has ~iconic~ characters that need the perfect people to play them. One of the most important roles is Leila Williams, one of Christian’s exes who left him for a man she would eventually marry. Bella Heathcote eventually landed the role, but it took casting executives quite some time to weed through other huge stars (like Kendall freakin’ Jenner!!!) before deciding on her.
Before it was announced that Australian actress Bella Heathcoat will be playing Leila Williams in the Fifty Shades sequel, reports swirled that Kendall Jenner was in the running for the part. The Inquisitr stated that movie executives were eyeing the 20 year old to play Christian's ex, but it's clear the two parties weren't on the same page.
