7 Teen Wolf Actors Who Chose to Leave the Show to Pursue Other Acting Opps
So many shakeups on Teen Wolf, it’s getting hard to keep up.
In recent weeks, Arden Cho (a.k.a. Kira Yukimura) announced her exit from the MTV drama, much to the dismay of fans and even the 30-year-old actress herself. “Unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira’s storyline and she won’t be coming back for Season 6,” she choked out in a video. “I think sometimes in a show where there’s so many characters, there isn’t always room for everyone.”
And, if even more recent rumors are to be believed, fan favorite Dylan O’Brien (a.k.a. Stiles Stilinski) may not be coming back to Beacon Hills either. After suffering from a “concussion, facial fracture, lacerations and multiple broken bones” on the set of The Maze Runners third and final film, The Death Cure, in March 2016, he’s been M.I.A. from all projects to continue his recovery. So, many are speculating that he may be unable to return to his position on the television series that shot him to stardom. Only time will tell, but we’re holding out hope.
In either of the aforementioned cases, though, the situation seems out of the talent’s control. The following people, on the other hand, apparently chose to leave Teen Wolf:
Many rumors circulated when the young man who brought Beacon Hills' resident hottie, Jackson Whittemore, to life on the small screen did not return for a third season. Colton tweeted after his exit, "These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I'm sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thanks for the love."
According to multiple reports, "The heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season — 12 episodes, not 24," which "didn't make sense for him. It is heartbreaking for him. He is used to hanging out with the cast every day. They are his friends. But he couldn't agree to a limited role."
Instead, he left the series to pursue other ventures... like Arrow!
