Youngblood Album Announcement Isn’t Today’s Only Exciting 5SOS News

Get ready to have a 5 Seconds of Summer-filled summer, y’all! The Australian band made its return after a two-year hiatus with the release of “Want You Back” just over a month ago, and while that was exciting and everything, fans still wanted more. Specifically, they wanted information about a full-length album.

Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood have been teasing #5SOS3 for what feels like years now, but we can finally tell you that the “soon” is now. The band’s third studio album, Youngblood, will be released on June 22. BRB as we go shoot off a confetti cannon and dance around the streets!

But that’s not the only bit of exciting news the guys dropped on us today! You’ll be able to download or stream the title track “Youngblood” this Thursday, April 12, and just one day later tickets will go on sale for the North American leg of the Meet You There Tour.

5SOS is currently performing new tracks such on a small club tour all over the world, but many of the shows sold out before fans could get tickets because the venues are so small. Luckily, though, the boys are playing much larger venues during the summer tour, which kicks off in Toronto on August 27 and concludes in Los Angeles on October 12, so more members of the #5SOSFam will be able to see ’em live.

The 23-year-old drummer sent his bandmates words of encouragement on Twitter shortly after the album, new single and tour announcements happened.

Now THAT’S bromance at its finest.
