5 Seconds of Summer Hints That the Youngblood Album Will Come Out Early

UPDATE: It has been confirmed by 5SOS that Youngblood will be released on June 15th instead of the 22nd!

It’s almost June, which means it’s almost officially the month that 5 Seconds of Summer‘s highly anticipated third album, Youngblood, is released. But what if we told you that you won’t have to wait alllllll the way until the 22nd to hear the latest body of work from Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford? It’s a possibility, people, as 5SOS teased an early release on Twitter earlier today.

The group tweeted, “What if… ‘YoungBlood‘ The album… was released earlier?”

The 23-year-old drummer also posted a similar message on his Instagram story, seemingly proving that he was the one who posted the teaser on the band account.

We did a little bit of investigative journalism (meaning, we searched Twitter) and determined that it appears that Youngblood will be released on — drumroll please!! — June 15, an entire WEEK ahead of schedule. How do we know? Some fans who pre-ordered the album from Target received emails confirming it, and the date when you can download it on iTunes also changed!

The Australian band has not yet ~officially~ announced this change, but it’s looking pretty probable that it’s happening. And you know what that means — Youngblood (and all the incredible new songs on it) is basically TWO WEEKS AWAY!
